Teaching

DRAGGON Lab teaching aims to prepare students to become biological software engineers: researchers who connect biology, computation, engineering, standards, data, automation, and responsible design.

Project-based learning is central. Students should design genetic systems, analyze biological data, build computational workflows, document reusable tools, and communicate results clearly.

Foundations

Foundational concepts for biology, computation, standards, and workflows.

Computer-Aided BioDesign

Design and automate biological engineering workflows.

AI in Computational Biology

Use machine learning with biological data and design problems.
